Content Type

A Drupal Content Type can be many different things on this site Content Types are:

  • Article
    • A default Drupal type which is not used.
  • Basic Page
  • Founding Executive Council
    • This content contains the information on the members of the Founding Executive Council including their image.
  • Guide
    • These pages and only editable by Administrators at the time this was written.
  • Home Page
    • This content type is specific to the home page and allow the selection of the Site Groups (Taxonomy) and their position on the page. There is also space for preview text blocks.
  • List Page
    • This content is what most of the site is based on. These pages contain the site group they belong to and bullet lists in a two column format.
  • Resource
    • This content contains the information relating to sharable information on the site

Taxonomy

Taxonomy content can best be described as a way to label or group things together. On this site the Taxonomy terms are:

  • Resource Topics
    • These are used as the primary grouping for Resource content
  •  Resource Types
    • These are used as an alternate way to group Resource items
  • Site Groups
    • The site is based on four site groups and they are defined here. Each item contains the title, subtitle and color for each group.
  • Tags
    • A default Drupal Taxonomy term and is not used.

 

Menu

The menus are setup to match the site groups and the pages within them.

  • Administration
    • Used only by content editors and site administrators.
  • Footer
    • A default Drupal menu that is not used on this site.
  • Main Navigation
    • The primary site menu which contains the Site Groups
  • Mission, Participants, Principles, Resources
    • At the time of this writing the site groups. The menus contain links to any pages relating to the specific group.
  • Tools
    • A default Drupal menu that is used by modules added to the site
  • User account menu
    • A menu with linke relating to the active user account.
